Exclamation GuildWars Expantion Idea

We all know in a few months, GW will have an expantion set. Yay Now, here is a small story line and my idea:

Acending from the world and have completed the tasks of the Gods, the new hero's from the earth human kingdoms have made the world renew it's faith within the human race after the defeat of the Charr and the Undead legions which seemed unkillable. The demon's inhabiting the world were put to rest, and all was good for 100 years. The ascended would be called to the final rift of time to watch the world being put into inferno, and the creatures being wiped clean so that the world will be cleaned and remade again.

You, a sacred ascended hero, despise the effortless ways of the heavens. You break your place in the next world, go to earth, and are ready to fight for the worlds survival. But you have come to late, and 3 demon's raid the earth with their attributes of the end of the world. Famine, Natural Disaster, and Outer World War. The earth breaks into continents, small island channels, and islands have all been flooded, or expanded. Hidden cities and civilizations are revealed, and species that of demon form come from the cracks of the ground older then time. The races of the world go to a world war, and the great destruction of the earth is on it's half way point.

The 3 demons are of unbeatable, unearthly power. It is said that when there were 8 old gods in the living, 3 were killed by the trio of the end of the world demons. The sky rains fire and blood, as the climate of all parts of the new world change dramatically. You and many other ascended hero's are on earth to keep the world and take back what is your right of existance. The battle to defeat the 3 demons of the end to restore peace on this world is on, but in a strangle of time, the world and life decay's.

The level cap for this new, extreme chapter in the worlds will be raised to lvl 30 or 33 or 35 or even 40.

Let dwayna smile apon us, let dwayna feel our anger, let he burn in hell for letting us die, let her die beneath her defeat.

Are you ready for the final battle?

This new chapter makes the age of the Charr searing look like childs play.

That is a supremely bad idea. This isn't Everquest.

1. I really doubt they will raise the lvl cap EVER
2. That is too extreme an expansion to be the first one!

Harsh... o.o;

No level cap raising, that'd just lead to problems I think...

WAY too extreme of an expansion. That's kinda... whoa... o_o;

Anyway... shouldn't this pop into the suggestions forum? o.o;

I'd like to see alternate stories for expansions, perhaps a before the charr kind of story or something that starts in Kryta, so you can see more of the white mantle and what is going on. Or something different, but linking along those lines.

Meh, just suggestions, not really caring at this point, loving GW as it is now, looking forward to the expansion, but will just wait to see what it is, whatever it is, I'm sure we'll all be pretty happy with it.

I see someone has poured their life out on that game, as well. I agree, never suggest a raise in level cap. The most you can ask for is added content(storyline), classes, skills for new and old classes, and new areas.

Well that's all that matters then 'eh?

Either way yeah, I'm not up for a level cap raise. I enjoy lvl 20 being highest, that way everyone and their grandma is going to have a lvl 20 character soon if they don't already, and then it's all about exploring and expanding on the story, skills, armor/weapons, world, etc. That way the people we keep in the community won't be playing to lvl and be ub3r-4w50me with high-lvl, but rather because they enjoy progressing and exploring through the world with others of their level and what not.

Yay.

Heh, cool storyline. But they probbaly won't raise the level cap, because they state in the FAQ, the expansions won't make you any less competitive.

Reminds me of the only major flaw I see in the game content. After I defeat the Lich, I should have access to what looks like the original ascalon areas. As much as I enjoyed the storyline, I was rather disappointed to still see Charr all over the place and Ascalon still in ruins. It sucks.

i think a bigger cap would be good because then it would acctually make more sense in getting all that exp...i really havent hit lvl 20 so i dont know what happens when your lvl 20 and your exp bar gets maxed out again...i know you dont lvl because of the cap...but what do u get? more points to make your skills better????because that would be great cuz u could just get lvl.lvl.lvl.lvl and then raise all your skills to max. then be like super ownage.

I'd bet every gold I have that in some expansion they'll raise the max level. As long as they do it slowly it won't necessarily ruin the game.

The reason is that some people play to level. I don't, but I've already talked to people that are getting antsy because they don't have any more levels to get.

Think of it from a solo player's view point.

I don't know that they will in the first expansion in 2006 but I'd bet by the 2nd they will. I just hope they add a practice arena to the guild houses as well.

They might eventually need to raise the lvl caps to keep the game going, just becouse they can't keep coming with updates like "New monsters and new areas".
Unless of course, they increase the party size.

Raising the caps would screw up the balance that's been molded togethor. First of all, it would require more grind. You would have to level more to be competitive, making it harder on the newer players.

Second, it would force people to buy the new chapters. Therefor it would be just like a monthly fee. If a higher cap is ever implemented, (not likely) it will be streamed from ArenaNet and not in a new chapter.
